To earn the bonus, the card requires spending over $6000 in 3 months, which is steep. If you have some known expenses, if you are starting a business, or are organizing a large event for your department, it will definitely be worth the sign-up bonus!
When redeemed for points, 1.5x is in competition with 2x on everything of the Capital One Venture X, and 3.25x on everything from the BILT Palladium. After spending exactly my rent amount on BILT, given the maximum value of Chase points, we believe this card offers the best rewards for “everything else” in the US. For purchases abroad, we use the Capital One Venture X as it has no foreign transaction fees.
